Easy 10 Minute Protective Style for Natural Hair

FREE Hair Growth Guide: http://bit.ly/free-hairgrowth-guide Watch me do a quick & easy 10 minute protective hairstyle on my type 4 natural hair. This protective hairstyle includes 2 low buns / bantu knots. I am not good at braiding so I am trying to find more protective styles that I can do quickly in the morning before I head out for the day.

Hey guys, it's Joi here. Today, I thought I talk with you guys and also do my hair. So I am going to start by getting my hair wet. I'm thinking about doing two low bantu buns because I saw a girl on the train wearing this style. So we're going to try out the style. I'm making sure my hair is wet because that's how I make sure my hair gets laid.

So as you guys know, I'm here in Spain, and I have like six weeks left until I'm back in the US, which is crazy. Time is flying by so quickly. I have a couple more weekend trips that I'm doing. I'm going to Portugal and Italy. So if you have any suggestions for Porto or Lipson or Rome, Italy, let me know. I was thinking about making a day trip to Venice, but I don't know how feasible that is. Now I'm going to take the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and smooth my hair down.

I'm so excited to be making more hair videos again, and I'm glad you guys like them. It just makes me so excited that we're almost 100 K. Now I'm just going to put some argan oil on my hair because I feel like I'm going to be wearing this style all weekend.

What else is new in my life? So as you guys know, I have a lot of ideas for projects coming up. I have a random question to ask you guys. If you could travel with me would you come with me? Let me know because I know a lot of you guys are following my travel journey, or you haven't been abroad, or you are just waiting to go on another trip. Next, we're going to smooth everything down with the Human Nature pure honey edge control. And I'm going to use that with my mini Cream of Nature edge brush.

So we're just going to start with a good bit of hair, add it to my hair and get it to smooth down. I love this edge control because it moisturizes my hair and smells good. I've been in this phase where I don't do anything fancy with my edges. I smooth them back. Over the summer, I was doing the swirls, and then I'm like over it now. Okay, so now that that is smoothed down, I'm going to twist my hair down. Now, I am going to try to do the bantu knot thing that she wore. It's going to be a trial and error type thing until I get it how I wanted. I think the hardest part is going to be getting the buns even on both sides. I will take bobby pins and secure it down, so it stays flat onto my head.

Okay, so that's one side. I'm going to make sure that it's tucked in and everything. Now I'm doing the same thing to the other side. Get a good amount of edge control and just put that on there. I like to bring my edge control down to the middle of my head to get it to look smooth.

Honestly, you don't have to use a mini brush. This is what I only brush I have. And I think it's so cute. Okay, so now we make sure any flyaways are brushed down, and we're going to take the scarf to lay down. I'll probably wear it like this for maybe a day or two and touch up the edges when needed. This is a cool protective style to wear. This weekend, I might switch it to one bun halfway through the weekend. Just so my picks can look a bit different. Okay, I’ll see you guys in the next one! Bye.
