IN-DEPTH REVIEW OF THE FELICIA LEATHERWOOD DETANGLING BRUSH ON MY TYPE 4 HAIR!!!! Let's find the best natural hair detangling brush for curly hair: comment below what your favorite detangling tool to use is.

Hey guys, it's Joi here. Today I'm going to be reviewing the Felicia Leatherwood brush. Oh my gosh, so many of you guys said that this was your favorite brush to detangle with in my last video. And as you guys know, I use the Denman brush, which is my favorite. And I've tried the tangle teezer, and I've tried other detangling brushes. I'm so excited about this brush. Comment down below what you use to detangle your hair. I like to detangle my hair when I have a deep conditioner or conditioner in my hair. To start the review, I'm going to go co-wash my hair, and then I will leave the conditioner in. Next, I'm going to detangle, and then we're going to see how I like the Felicia Leatherwood brush.

Before we get to the detangling, let's take a look at the brush.

The description says its widely spaced Flexi bristles glide easily through hair without breaking or damaging your strands. This allows for the brush to gently release knots and detangle your hair without pain or discomfort. The wide handle is perfect for both beginners and pros and provides a comfortable, sturdy grip. The brush perfect for natural curls or waves. To achieve the best results, we recommend you use the brush during conditioning treatments. That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm leaving my conditioner in my hair, and I'll come back with my hair sectioned.

Okay, I just got out of the shower with my hair that has conditioner in it. We're going to start detangling immediately while it's wet. We're going to start at the front section, which has looser curls. When I detangle, I always have my hair sectioned in four, and then I split that section in half. Then I start at the bottom and get the first set of tangles out, and then I work my way up.

Let's talk about the brush. So my hand kind of hurts. If you're one of those people who brushes their hair and it rubs against your hand, your hand is going to be a little bit sore. The definition is already great. It's is probably the best I've seen. I could see if you added a curling cream, the definition would be so much better. It did those curlicues on my hair. Of course, that was on one of my hair's looser sections, but it did do a lot of good definition on the more texture part of my hair.

Next, I will do the other side in the shower to see how the brush works with water running going through it because that's what I do on my wash days. Once I'm done with all of that, I will come back with a final review on whether I'll be adding this brush into my routine.

I'm out of the shower, I did this side with the brush under the water, and I think that's the best method. It's easy to clean and gets the tangles out. My advice for this brush is to use it when you want your curls to be defined and have many tangles to get out. I usually have a nice sized ball of hair that comes out just because my hair is thick and long. I didn't shed a lot of hair, which is great. Also, I didn't notice that there wasn't a lot of breakage, which is also a plus. But I probably am still going to use my Denman brush just because the process goes faster. I don't have any major problems with it. The brush was $20 when I ordered it. I think the brush could be great for looser textures but also for people that have kinky hair. Let me know if there's anything else you want me to ask for a review, but I'm about to do the rest of my hair. I'll talk to you guys next time. Bye!
